Greetings! I have been searching for a verse in the Bible. I hope it is actually there. LOL! I think there is a verse somewhere that talks about not even speaking about the evil that the ungodly do. Or something like that... Do you have any ideas? I have tried the Strong's, Naves, E-Sword. Nothing. Thanks.  |

Thank you! Although it says things which are done of them in secret... hmmm
I was thinking that it was not a good thing for things like the names of the pagan holidays or even things about the pagan holidays and activities to pass my lips.
What do you think?
Here is a related funny: My beloved was looking at the paper and said that someone was selling "you-know-what trees" already. LOL! He knows I don't want to even say it and he honored that by not saying it himself.

yes ginny i think i know such a verse as well that talks about not using the names of the false gods. However i don´t know where it is.

That verse is a good one, too, but I am starting to think that I may have been remembering wrong and there is no verse that specifically says what I thought it did. However, I still feel that it is not a good thing to talk about those things that are an abomination to YHWH. I don't think it is something that I will gasp and rebuke a brother/sister over, but it is something that I want to be more aware of.
Thanks for the help. By the way, I went to that thread and there was reference to another thread, toward the end, and that link was bad. Was that thread deleted?

No, the thread is good- look under "The Christian Church" board. I think it is on the second page and has the word "Christmas" in the title.
