I realise that I'm a newcomer to these parts and all these things, but I'm no stranger to message boards.
This forum is suffering from a common phenomena, known in internet speek as "2 many boardz!1!1!! lolzorz!"
That is to say, this site has enough members with interest that it could be a fairly bustling community, but the problem is that the community is being wrecked by a compulsive desire for organisation. The organisation is excellent, to be sure, with every topic having it's proper place, but that does not a successful message board make. If someone has a question about a verse in, say, Obadiah, they will post their question on the Obadiah board. If nobody else has any reason to go to the Obadiah board, the post goes unnoticed for a very long time. Very few people are going to sift through all of the boards to find every topic on which they might possibly have insight. Instead, they will go to a board where their own interest specifically lies. in a very large community, this wouldn't be a problem, but this is not such a community yet.
If you subdivided the forum more generally with fewer boards, like so:
-Messianic beliefs
-The Bible (or perhaps one for Tanak and one for the New Covenant)
-Judaica (feasts, rabbinics, halakot, etc.)
-Messianic practice
-Politics (it's always best to give them their own space)
-General discussion
... if you did that, the boards would be a faster paced, and people would have a lot more contact with the threads where they might be helpful. Not that there is anything magical about the divisions I've picked, it's just the basic idea that fewer boards = more exposure.
Of course, perhaps you like it the way it is. Just my 2 cents.
