And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. (Act 9:1-2)
Ever notice where Paul was going to find the believers of Yeshua as Messiah? They were going to be found in the synagogues!

When I read this verse my understanding is that Paul requested approval letters ( which I'm sure has to do with some law approval from the rabbis) from the high priest to the other synagogues to comunicate to them the approval to persecute the new messianic jewish that were spreading the new teachings of Yeshua the Messiah. Women were not allowed to enter the synagogues, evidently the new messianic jewish won't be found in the synagogues.

Women were not allowed to enter the synagogues, How is it that women are not allowed in synagogues? That seems to be a tradition that makes the law of God of no efect.
