Zechariah 08 : 22 - 23

How do you interpret this passage?…<br>
”Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek YHVH (the LORD) of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before YHVH (the LORD). Thus saith YHVH (the LORD) of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.” Zechariah 8:22-23

This is a prophecy for the last days. All people will look to the truth which defines the true child of Abraham and to Jerusalem the final seat of God. The Messiah made a similar prophesy.

Matthew 8:11-12 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Some other verses which come to mind.

Matthew 3:9-10 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

John 8 is a very powerful message. Romans 4 touches on this also. Galatians 3 especiall verse 29 "Iif ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."

Do you think that this passage implies that the Gentiles will take hold of ? Also, I would say that the literal rendering of this passage suggests that the physical Jewish people will be key in this.
