This prophecy in Yesheyahu (Isaiah) is amazing. I believe that this takes place at the very least during the millenium, but is possible that parts of it also may be referring to after the millenial reign. In the passage Adonai is speaking to Israel in regards their future relationship with the Gentile world... "Isa 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of YHVH is risen upon thee. Isa 60:2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but YHVH shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. Isa 60:3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising."We see here that Israel will one day be a light unto the nations as was it's original purpose. Isaiah 2:3 is a secondary witness to this... "Isa 2:2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of YHVH'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. Isa 2:3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of YHVH, to the house of the G'd of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth , and the word of YHVH from Jerusalem."And, Zechariah 8:23 agrees, and confirms that matter... "Zec 8:22 Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek YHVH of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before YHVH. Zec 8:23 Thus saith YHVH of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that G'd is with you."For those Gentiles whom want to know the truth, and what the future holds...Israel will be a light unto -all- the Gentiles. Gentiles will learn from those whom are observant in regards to the way of G'd. They will flow to Israel, to Jerusalem, and to the newly rebuilt temple in which they will continue to learn the keeping of . Forums like this, Messianic Judaism, and other Messanic based ministries are just the beginning of this prophecy to come. Let us continue to read in this Haftarah portion... "Isa 60:4 Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. Isa 60:5 Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee. Isa 60:6 The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of YHVH. Isa 60:7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory."So, we see here that the wealth and abundance of the nations will be brought to Israel, and will be at Israel's disposal. And, we see that Z'kharyah (Zechariah) 14:14 agrees... "And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance."Apparently, this whole section in Isaiah Chapter 60 takes place after the nations come against Israel, and Mashiach fights, and triumphs over their/His enemies. Another interesting aspect seen in Isaiah 60:7 is that when the Gentiles are coming up to "the house of YHVH" a.k.a "The Temple"...sacrifices are taking place. Continuing in our reading of Isaiah chapter 60... "Isa 60:8 Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows? Isa 60:9 Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of YHVH thy G'd, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee. Isa 60:10 And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee. Isa 60:11 Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought. Isa 60:12 For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted."Is there any doubt from the passage above that Israel will one day be the ruling nation on this Earth? And, in that day Israel's law ( ) will govern the whole Earth. And, as we see in Zechariah 14:18, these nations will be keeping the pilgrimage feasts as this is confirmed in Isaiah 2:3, and several other areas of scripture. In that day B'midbar (Numbers) 15:15-16 will be the rule of thumb for all nations... "Num 15:15 For the assembly, there shall be one statute for you, and for the stranger who lives as a foreigner with you, a statute forever throughout your generations: as you are, so shall the foreigner be before YHVH. Num 15:16 One law and one ordinance shall be for you, and for the stranger who lives as a foreigner with you."To be continued...

So, my question to all Gentile believers is; If you will be expected to keep in the future...why not learn now? I would also say that if one does not want to keep ...than one does not wish to live in the Kingdom Of Heaven...and indeed, they will not, even though they were -sure- they knew Jesus (Yeshua)... "Mat 7:21 Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Mat 7:22 Many will tell me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, didn't we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?' Mat 7:23 And then I will say to them I never knew you! Depart from Me, those working lawlessness (Torahlessness)! .'" You see, such individuals never really where disciples of The Master, or Yeshua could not say that He never knew them. And, if they were His disciples they would have listened to Him when He taught as seen in Matthew 5:16-19. But, I tell you the truth, most of Christianity has gone in the way of lawlessness, and much teshuva (repentance) is needed. Let us continue to read about the rise of Israel's glory... "Isa 60:13 The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious. Isa 60:14 The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of YHVH, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel. Isa 60:15 Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations. Isa 60:16 Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I YHVH am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. Isa 60:17 For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness. Isa 60:18 Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise."Amen, and amen! How I look to that day. Shaloo shalom Yerushalyim (pray for the peace of Jerusalem), for when we do, we pray for the coming of Messiah, and the glorification of Israel! The following passage is interesting in regards to the writings of the Brit HaDashah... "Isa 60:19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but YHVH shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy G'd thy glory. Isa 60:20 Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for YHVH shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended."In regards to Revelation 21:23, and what has already been stated...I will let you chew on that for a while. "Isa 60:21 Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified. Isa 60:22 A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I YHVH will hasten it in his time."Wow, shall -all- be righteous? I don't believe this simply speaks of imputed righteousness. I believe that these people actually have the literal written on their hearts, and because of their faith and being Spirit filled they are actually keeping . And, this is in agreement with the following... "1Jo 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. 1Jo 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of . 1Jo 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 1Jo 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him."We see in the above passage that the definition of sin is transgression of /The Law. The above passage is also in agreement with what Yeshua The Messiah said in the following passage... "Mat 7:23 And then I will say to them I never knew you! Depart from Me, those working lawlessness (Torahlessness)! ."But, if we continue to read in 1John chapter 3 this becomes clear... "1Jo 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 1Jo 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of G'd was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil."Did we all catch that? The very purpose of Messiah's coming was that He might destroy the work's of the devil in us. From the previous context, this is describing breaking...sin! He came to empower for Himself a holy people that would stop sinning, and serve Him in righteousness! Keep reading... "1Jo 3:9 Whosoever is born of G'd doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of G'd. 1Jo 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of G'd, neither he that loveth not his brother."Taking this all into mind helps to intepret Isaiah 60:21... " Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified." These people will be observant. Will you be apart of this people? Do you really know Messiah? These are questions that we should all ask ourselves... "Phi 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."Shalom aleichem chaverim (peace be upon you my friends), Reuel

Well, R Reuel is a hard act to follow, but here is my offering:
Isaiah 60.1-22, Haftara for Par’shah Ki Tavo
From this chapter on Yeshayahu prophesies of the glories of a restored Jewish people. One of the major themes here is the contrast of light and darkness. This haftarah emphasizeing a bright future for Israel is an effective counterpoint for the curse contained in the Parashat, Ki Tavo.
This prophetic portion is harbinger of a new age; an age where Yeshua reigns and the old world has passed away. All the nations will recognize El Elohe Yisro’el and will honor and enrich His people. That it does not reference the return from exile of the Jewish people coupled with the somewhat disappointing way which Yerushalayim was later rebuilt lends credence to the fact that this is a prophecy of (to them) a far distant time.
Isaiah 60:1 (KJV) Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. Looking forward to this time when YHVH will reign in Yerushalayim, the first thing that strikes the prophet here is “glory.” The majesty, splenour, prosperity, joy and shalom we all who are saved will be partakers of in the New Yerushalayim.
John 17:22-24 (ESV) The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.
Romans 8:18 (ESV) For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
1 Peter 5:10 (ESV) And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
Isaiah 60:2-3 (KJV) For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
Salvation was always meant to be of Elohim through the Jews. So as the Jews return to the Light, Gentiles are then drawn to the Light:
John 4:22 (ESV) You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews.
Isaiah 42:6 (ESV) “I am the Lord; I have called you in righteousness; I will take you by the hand and keep you; I will give you as a covenant for the people, a light for the nation
Isaiah 49:6b (ESV) I will make you as a light for the nations, that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”
The nations, fearing the God they now recognize as YHVH El Elyon- The Lord, the Most High God will bring tribute to the Holy City:
Isaiah 60:4-6 (KJV) Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee. The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the Lord.
Isaiah 60:7 (KJV) All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.
Rams here could be translated as either nimble four footed beasties or as high political officials:
H352 אַיִל 'ayil ah'-yil From the same as H193; properly strength; hence anything strong; specifically a chief (politically); also a ram (from his strength); a pilaster (as a strong support); an oak or other strong tree: - mighty (man), lintel, oak, post, ram, tree.
So if animals, the next part of that verse should be translated “they will go up willingly on My alter.” If leaders, then “they will offer acceptable offerings on My alter.” “The latter translation may suggest that foreigners will be able to serve in priestly roles in the Temple of the future.” (from JPS study notes).
Isaiah 60:8 (KJV) Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?
Real faith and trust- real religion- has a huge attractiveness to it. Men are drawn to it. If you want to know why so many false religions, even those of hatred and death such as Islam are so attractive to so many, maybe it is because they are more fervent in their practice. Even women, who are treated as property and suffer tremendous abuses under Islam are drawn to it. But if so many are drawn to the darkness of such fervently held beliefs, how many more would respond if we showed them the light in how we keep our faith?
Isaiah 60:9-11 (KJV) Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the Lord thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee. And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee. Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.
Yerushalayim is secure with YHVH Maginnenu- The Lord Our Defense in control of the city.
Isaiah 60:12 (KJV) For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.
I don’t know if this is a proscription meant to keep all nations in line, or if there are some which will foolishly refuse to serve the Hebrew people. Either way, Yisro’el no longer has to worry about these people.
Isaiah 60:13 (KJV) The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
So apparently just like in the first Temple, Lebanese wood and craftsmen will be utilized to make the dwelling place of YHVH Adon Kol Ha’aretz- The Lord, the Lord of All the Earth.
Isaiah 60:14-16 (KJV) The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee; The city of the Lord, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel. Whereas thou has been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations. Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
This is a huge reversal of fortune for Yisro’el.
The presence of YHVH Kabodhi- The Lord My Glory will reside in Yerushalayim, and the city and its inhabitants will be secure from harm as well as prosperous.
Isaiah 60:17-18 (KJV) For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness. Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.
In all ways her fortunes and security will manifoldly increase.
Isaiah 60:19-20 (KJV) The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the Lord shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.
The sun and moon are no longer necessary since the illumination of God Who is called Ner- Lamp (2 Sam 22:29) and Ori- My Light (Ps27:1) will outshine both.
Isaiah 60:21-22 (KJV) Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified. A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the Lord will hasten it in his time.
We should not think that such a time as is described here is too good to last. This inheritance is forever.
