In our reading in 1Ki 19:10 we see that Elijah was acting in the same manner as Phinehas (Pinchas)…being zealous for YHVH’s Covenant. Elijah said after being questioned by G'd, “I have been very jealous for YHVH G'd of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.”The times that Elijah lived in are very similar to the times we live in. Almost the whole nation has broken YHVH's covenant, and sin is rampant everywhere…even in the Congregations/Church. But, there is hope. Just as during Elijah’s time G'd had a remnant of seven thousand people who had not compromised with the pagan system during the time….So also has G'd reserved thousands of people here in America, and around the world who have not bowed the knee to the pagan system of worship…in which we find ourselves. And, he is preparing many more hearts to receive his Truth which is embodied in His Son, THE LIVING . Y’shua tells us in Mat 9:37... "The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few." We all need to be peacemakers, and labourers that are on a daily bases going out and harvesting for the Kingdom of Heaven. We can do this at our job, in our neighborhoods, with our own family…anywhere we set our feet. Shalom chaverim (friends), Reuel
