In the sacrificing of the Red Heifer, it takes three guys to perform the ritual. There is the priest (in the case here, Eleazer), the person who actually burns the sacrifice (we can assume is of the house of Levi) and the fellow who carries the ashes to the special place for safe keeping (who is only described as a "clean" person). Speculation is a wonderful thing; but the uniqueness of this specificity seems to be trying to tell us something. Are there any ideas as to what this may practically represent in our theology today?
