All I have run across some of Monte Judah's writings, and found some of them to be very interesting from an intellectual standpoint - some things I don't necessarily agree with, yet some appear to be spot on. For instance, this one was rather interesting: "Why the Church teaches that Jesus Christ is NOT the Messiah" www.lionlamb.net/Yavoh/archive/print/Jul2001PN.htmNow obviously, the title is out to 'grab' people's attention, and I am *NOT* interested in causing division among believers (for instance, I would not forward this article to my brothers/sisters whom go to 'church' on Sundays) - the article did make some rather interesting points... I have read several other of Monte's articles, find them interesting and thought provoking. Just wondering what you on this board think. thx rory

Monte Judah has several good things to say. This is almost unfortunate because he's come up with some lu-lus as well. The most recent I heard from him was an attempt to discredit the book of Hebrews. The Messianic perspective of faith enjoys more than its share of maverick perspectives. I believe that this can be healthy, though, as we refine our theology by constant challenges from within as well as from the outside. At the same time, it's easy to become a passive learner when the teacher is eloquent and fun to sit under. More than once, I've seen people forced to choose between following a teacher and following what they know to be sound doctrine. Too many times they choose the teacher. Monte Judah has enjoyed some national recognition in the Messianic Community, particularly since he joined together with Eddie Chumney as co-leaders of what is known as the "Two-House" perspective. See board: theloveofgod.proboards3.com/index.cgi?board=messianic&action=display&n=1&thread=76Since then, I fear that he has been somewhat emboldened to teach in such a way that challenges the authority of Scripture.

I agree with Mark's sentiments. I believe Monte Judah has many good things to teach and the study that was mentioned; "Why the Church teaches that Jesus Christ is NOT the Messiah" is a good study to read as it makes several valid points. But, I would be very careful about any teaching that attacks the holy scriptures as many (not all) in the "Two House" movement have fallen into this false teaching. I would recommend gleaming what you can from their teachings, but I would get most of your good doctrine from ministries like First Fruits Of Zion: www.ffoz.orgShalom chaverim, Reuel

Well, I am not familiar with his work but he is certainly right that the Church teaches j*e*s*u*s is not the Mashiakh because it slanders Ribi Y'hoshua by saying he taught the negation of . Anyone who claims to be Messiah while negating even one mitzwah of the (Like Shabbetai) is most certainly a false Mashiakh and should be exposed as such. To me, the j*e*s*u*s of C*h*r*i*s*tianity has perverted the image of Y'hoshua HaMashiakh so much that they set up figuratively set up an idol in the Holy of Holies. As such I refrain from typing of speak those names associated with the idol they have set up. I should also add its not only Two Housers in the Messianic Community that question the canonocity of the "New Testament".

While I am by no means espousing Monte's opinion on the book of Hebrews, I would like to point out that he makes a lot of valid points regarding it, which do not prove that it is not Scripture. Rather they point out that we are looking at a translation from Hebrew and/or Aramaic. He has some very good research, he has merely come to the wrong conclusion from the evidence that he sees.

I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to comment. While he might be interesting and Appealing to those who accept Two House theology, he is a false prophet. He has prophesied the end of the world, the antichrist and various other events that have not taken place. I think we should be very careful with him, as Biblically, he has disqualified himself from being a teacher and because this kind of blatant disregard for the biblical standards of a leader may make us lose credibility with Jews and Christians.

Shalom! I think it is interesting how many teachers will take such liberty in proclaiming feelings and emotions or simply flat out falsehood just to get attention. It will be nice one day when the greatest Rabbi to ever walk this earth comes back and tells us what the truths are and correct us where we are wrong. I always joke that it would be nice to have some right though This Rabbi is Yeshuah just to be clear. Maybe if false teachers and self proclaimed prophets would fall to the same judgment of the for such they would be more careful on what they said is from the Father.
