I don't think I've seen a thread on this yet, but if so direct me to it. My wife and I just finished putting together our estate package (e.g. wills, medical power of attorney, etc) and in the general discussion between us I indicated I would like to have a Jewish burial (i.e. no embalming, buried within a day, no wake or funeral home involvement, wooden coffin, etc, you get the idea!) .I had read about the volunteer group within the orthodox community that takes care of the final preparations of the deceased, is there a similar group in anyones messianic community? And if not does anyone have any info on how to start one.

The following is a link to an online manual handling this subject: www.jewish-funerals.org/cttaharamanual.htmI haven't had alot of experience in this area yet nor has our community developed enough for us to establish a group that is ready to handle this responsibility. We are just kindof hoping that no one dies anytime soon... Shalom, Reuel
