Since most of us were born and raised in the UK, Usa or in my case in Germany, there are a few things we´ve probably never seen or experienced ourselves. Hunger, lack of clothes, homelessness and political persecution.
Surely most of us have fasted for the pleasure of the Almighty and to control the flesh but to fast voluntarily and to starve because of a drought are two completely different points.
So what do we have to ask ourselves now? We should question us whether we are sincerely grateful for this. We should question us whether we have ever thanked the Lord our Creator for our privilegded life.
And i know that all of us had their difficulties in their lifes. Probably not such heavy things as a homeless child in the streets of Cape town but living in the western world doesnt mean living in a perfect world.
But even though we might have our problems and it might be hard to be thankful over periods there are lots of points everybody, in every situation can thank the Lord of Hosts for.
We should ask ourselves when did we thank God almighty the last time for all the things he has done for us??
Throughout the bible there are so many parts warning the believer the be thankful because that is what God loves and that is a sacrifice he accepts.
Coming to you my beloved brother and my dear sister.
What are the things you can thank God for in every situation you might be?
You can thank him for creating you as a wonderful human.
You can thank him for sacrificing his only begotten son for you.
You can thank him for giving you eternal life.
You can thank him for the gifts of the Ruach Hakodesh and for the Ruach Hakodesh in general.
There´s no excuse not to thank the Lord.
And remember my dear brothers and sister in Yeshua who share the faith with me.
Being thankful strenghtens you in avoiding sin. It helps you to get over false pride and leads you to a life in humility.
If we understand the greatness of Yeshua and thank him constantly we receive wisdom because we´ll understand him.
Let your worship and prayers not be a list of things you want the Creator El Elyon to fulfill for you.
Praise and thanksgiving and honouring the name of the Lord should be 99% of your prayers.
Because if you thank him and praise him for the aide he´s been providing for you i guarantee you he´ll listen to what you ask and give you due to your demand (if it matches his will).
One last thing i want all of us to do in order to arrange a global thanksgiving to the Almighty and most high and the supreme.
If you´ve read this thread raise your hands to the One and thank him for these things.
Thank him for this forum and the opportunity for the wise preachers to teach us who have less knowledge.
Thank him for the fellowship we can enjoy here.
Thank him for the brother you have in me and i´ll thank him for the silblings i have in you and thank him for all the brothers and sisters you have in this forum.
To end this message i want to quote Kind David (may the Lord remember him):" It is a good thing to give thanks to the LORD, To sing praises to your name, Elyon".
This is from Psalm 92.
Let us be like King David (may the Lord remember him).
Let us take an example of him.
Shalom uvracha b´shem Yeshua melekh adonai
ve ahafta et adonai elohecha
ve k´eili atah veodecha.
