In reading through Reveelation, it seems that most have been able to see the Roman persecution of G-d's people, the rise and rule of the Roman Catholic church, and now even many end-time events such as the rise of the anti-christ/false messiah, and the supposed "rapture " of the "church" (G-d's people!). What seems to be missing is the Inquision, and most recently, the Holocost!! Now, I cant believe that G-d skipped 1500+ years and went from AD 350- the end without them being included! What are your thoughts out there???

I think that all the prophets spoke of our people in the diaspora and what that would entail. We were sent there because of our sins and breaking of ...and we have suffered greatly because of it. Yes, I believe the prophets speak much about the period of the dispersion up until this day...And, that Yisrael as being brought back and is being groomed for the coming of Messiah. Shalom, Reuel

I agree with Reuel. All the prophets foretold a time when we would be sent out into the galut (exile). As well as all the suffering and pain that would entail.
Sure the Inquistion and Shoah are most notable (the Inquisition lasted 500 yrs and stretched across 2 continents!), but let's not forget the Crusades and all the hundreds of pogroms in Europe and the Middle East throughout the centuries.
Is there any specific portion of Scripture that one can point to and say, "Aha, there it is!"? The answer is no. But like I said earlier, we do have the words of the prophets saying that there would be much pain and suffering while we are in exile.
As depressing as all that may be, we can also look forward to the coming of Moshiach ben-David and know that ultimately, we will be redeemed.

On reading through the posts here, the opinion appears to be that the descendants of the Roman Empire will be the last empire to trouble the saints. The birthrate across Europe has fallen below the level where the population can replenish itself, while, at the same time, massive immigration, mainly from the Middle East, is doubling and trebling the population. In Catholic Spain and Italy the birthrate is even lower than the rest of Europe. For the population to sustain itself a figure of something like 2.4 is given and all the European countries are well below that figure, with Spain and Italy at something like 1.2, half of what is needed. Perhaps the real threat is not from Europe but from another quarter, which is largely ignored, and certainly not preached . Does anyone have any opinion on this? Pam.

Are you speaking about the rise of Islam and it's consequences in the near future?
