In Numbers 11, it describes the "mixed multitude who fell to lusting and drew the children of Israel into discontent. Where does the fault lie: in the mixed multitude who did not take on a completely Jewish identity but remained on the fringes, or to the Hebrew people who did not welcome them in to be a part of their nation- still distinguishing the outsiders as not part of the house of Israel?
