OOOOPSSS! Does this mean that the wicked man's spirit is also in heaven? Now your reducing G-d's Word to guessing games Bob? It has always intrigued me how some can even deny reality in favor of dogma. The billion or so eyewitness accounts of sprit apparitions are just nonsense? That's a whole lot of crazy folk Bob. Shalom Naild You got all of that out of that one line? Ec 12:7 and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it. Tell me Mr. Wizard, just what does this verse say? I did not guess, I read and believe. And I suppose you have accounted all these? Just how many lost individuals are there in the world, 5-6-7 billion? But who's counting? I hope my post is as confusing as yours is. Shalom

Mr. Wizard? Meditate on this and tell what you come up with- (Luke 24:37 MRC) But they were startled and frightened, and supposed that they were seeing a spirit. Shalom Naild P.S- Sorry for hijacking the thread Mishkan, it wasn't planned.

We know very little about the Notzarim of the first century, there is aboslutely no evidence supporting they either did or did not endorse "soul-sleep" which is erroneously named. The sentiments of this have already been expressed on this thread. Soul sleep is what those Hellenist I mean Christians would give such a doctrine because they assume that man has a ghostie in him called a soul.
Remember, God breathed the breath of life into Adam and he BECAME a living soul.
Spirit (Breath)+Body=Soul
Most of our information on Nazarene and Ebionites comes from extremely biased Christians who always placed both groups in a negative light and sometimes failed to differentiate between the two. Any information gained from these writers is extremely unreliable.

This doesn't mean anything.... Are you also prepared to call Yeshua foolish? Rather than rebuke them for believing 'superstition' as you say, He gives them the facts- (Luke 24:39b MRC) "for a spirit has not flesh and bones as you see that I have."

Wasn't this Messiah correcting their superstition with logic?

Shalom Pioneer,
I know you have a history with Naild on another forum, and that often times discussions can become heated, however, there is no need to use anything but the person's name, or forum name.
You have been warned by a moderator befor about the heated debates that you and Naild have had here, and we would all appreciate you adhering to the rules of the forums.
Shalom,
Yitzchak

Yitzchak,
I would apprecitae it if you would edit your post and remove my name from it. I did not resort to name calling anywhere in the discussion.
Shalom Naild

Shalom Pioneer and Naild, I know you have a history on another forum, and that often times discussions can become heated, however, there is no need to incite one another with childish names. You have been warned before about this behavior, and we would all appreciate you adhering to the rules of the forums. Shalom, Yitzchak Are you saying light hearted banter is to be considered lashon harah? Shut my mouth! LOL Sorry Naild, were you offended by me or the repramand? I personally think Mr. Wizard was much more respectful than being called "Childish"!

Sorry Naild, were you offended by me or the repramand? I wasn't offended by either friend. You know I've got thick skin when it comes to such things. If you will take note, I laughed at it. Like this. I agree. Shalom Naild

Well Naild, you are a bigger man than I am because I was offended, at my age, being called "childish." Shabbat Shalom

Well Naild, you are a bigger man than I am because I was offended, at my age, being called "childish." Shabbat Shalom Shalom Achim, No offense was meant. My response was based on the rules of the forum, and as a moderator making sure that things stay on track. I believe that it is possible to have discussions, even heated ones, without this type of banter. The Mr. Wizard reference is one that I recall from my childhood, thus the "childish" reference. Shabbat Shalom, Yitzchak

Well Naild, you are a bigger man than I am because I was offended, at my age, being called "childish." Shabbat Shalom To be honest with you Bob, I thought you were reffering to your own repremand of me, and my opinion regarding this subject. I had no idea you were talking about Yitzak's comment. And yes, I was offended at that. Not nearly as offended at being ignored after appealing to have my name removed from his previous post. He flat out said I resorted to name calling. I did no such thing, and that's a false witness. In fact, I even ignored the comment to keep the peace and this is how I get treated? I'm not surprised though. It would appear if your opinion differs from the majority here, your treated like tax collector. Shalom Naild

The point is that in the past you both have been asked by moderators to tone down the heated debate. You accepted it at that time, and accepted it when you became members of the forum. Many of us are busy on Friday's preparing for Shabbat, and thus the reason for overlooking your reguest to have the post modified. The fact that I did not perform with lightning speed does not give you the right to make such comments. I have edited all the posts, which you have found offensive, but will not tolerate any of the heated debate or name calling in the future. If any other inflammatory comment are made, I wll lock this thread. Shabbat Shalom, Yitzchak

At risk of being stoned, may I say it is rather ironic that this issue should arise within the post "nature of Messiah". tee hee Messimom
