Is the messenger in Revelation 10 Messiah, you decide:
First, I do not believe Messiah has taken possession of the earth that He paid for with His blood:
2 Corinthians 4:3, 4
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
John 12:31
31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
*Hebrews 2:8b
In subjecting everything to him, he left nothing unsubjected to him. However, at present, we don’t see everything subjected to him — at least, not yet.
Even the creation eagerly waits for Messiah to take possession:
Romans 8:19-23
19 The creation waits eagerly for the sons of God to be revealed; 20 for the creation was made subject to frustration — not willingly, but because of the one who subjected it. But it was given a reliable hope 21 that it too would be set free from its bondage to decay and would enjoy the freedom accompanying the glory that God’s children will have. 22 We know that until now, the whole creation has been groaning as with the pains of childbirth; 23 and not only it, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we continue waiting eagerly to be made sons — that is, to have our whole bodies redeemed and set free.
Even though Messiah has not taken possession we still have the promise:
Ephesians 1:13
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Ephesians 4:30
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
So we pray for Messiah to take possession and make all right:
Matthew 6:10
10 May your Kingdom come,
your will be done on earth as in heaven.
He has the promise of His father:
Psalm 2:8
8Ask it of Me,
and I will make the nations your domain;
your estate, the limits of the earth.
Rev 10:1:
Revelation 1:7
7 Look! He is coming with the clouds!
Every eye will see him,
including those who pierced him;
and all the tribes of the Land will mourn him.
Yes! Amen!
Genesis 9:13
13I have set My bow in the clouds, and it shall serve as a sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.
Revelation 1:16
16 In his right hand he held seven stars, out of his mouth went a sharp double-edged sword, and his face was like the sun shining in full strength.
Revelation 1:15
15 his feet like burnished brass refined in a furnace, and his voice like the sound of rushing waters.
Rev 10:2:
Revelation 5:1-5
1 Next I saw in the right hand of the One sitting on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals; 2 and I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?” 3 But no one in heaven, on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or look inside it. 4 I cried and cried, because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or look inside it. 5 One of the elders said to me, “Don’t cry. Look, the Lion of the tribe of Y’hudah, the Root of David, has won the right to open the scroll and its seven seals.”
Rev 10:3 - "and shouted in a voice as loud as the roar of a lion;
Jeremiah 25:30, 31
30 “You, therefore, shall prophesy against them all these words, and say to them:
b“ ‘The LORD will roar from on high,
and from his holy habitation utter his voice;
he will roar mightily against his fold,
cand shout, like those who tread grapes,
against all the inhabitants of the earth.
31 The clamor will resound to the ends of the earth,
for dthe LORD has an indictment against the nations;
ehe is entering into judgment with all flesh,
and the wicked he will put to the sword,
declares the LORD.’
Hosea 11:10
10 sThey shall go after the LORD;
the will roar like a lion;
when he roars,
his children shall come trembling ufrom the west;
11 they shall come trembling like birds vfrom Egypt,
and wlike doves xfrom the land of Assyria,
and I will return them to their homes, declares the LORD.
12 4 Ephraim yhas surrounded me with lies,
and the house of Israel with deceit,
but Judah still walks with God
and is faithful to the Holy One.
Joel 3:16
16 dThe LORD roars from Zion,
and dutters his voice from Jerusalem,
eand the heavens and the earth quake.
But the LORD is fa refuge to his people,
a stronghold to the people of Israel.
Amos 1:2
2He proclaimed:
The LORD roars from Zion,
Shouts aloud from Jerusalem;
And the pastures of the shepherds shall languish,
And the summit of Carmel shall wither.
Rev 10:6 - "swore by the One who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and what is in it, earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it:
Example of HaShem swering by Himself because there is no greater:
Hebrews 6:13
13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, 14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
Rev 10:6 - “There will be no more delay":
James 5:7
7 So, brothers, be patient until the Lord returns. See how the farmer waits for the precious “fruit of the earth” — he is patient over it until it receives the fall and spring rains.
2 Peter 3:3, 4
3 First, understand this: during the Last Days, scoffers will come, following their own desires 4 and asking, “Where is this promised ‘coming’ of his? For our fathers have died, and everything goes on just as it has since the beginning of creation.”
...
2 Peter 3:12, 13
12 as you wait for the Day of God and work to hasten its coming. That Day will bring on the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt from the heat; 13 but we, following along with his promise, wait for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness will be at home.
Rev 10:10:
Ezekiel 2:7-3:3
9 And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein; 10 And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe. 31 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel. 2 So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll. 3 And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness.
*Heb 2:6-12
6 And there is a place where someone has given this solemn testimony:
“What is mere man, that you concern yourself with him?
or the son of man, that you watch over him with such care?
7 You made him a little lower than the angels,
you crowned him with glory and honor,
8 you put everything in subjection under his feet.”
In subjecting everything to him, he left nothing unsubjected to him. However, at present, we don’t see everything subjected to him — at least, not yet. 9 But we do see Yeshua — who indeed was made for a little while lower than the angels — now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by God’s grace he might taste death for all humanity. 10 For in bringing many sons to glory, it was only fitting that God, the Creator and Preserver of everything, should bring the Initiator of their deliverance to the goal through sufferings. 11 For both Yeshua, who sets people apart for God, and the ones being set apart have a common origin — this is why he is not ashamed to call them brothers 12 when he says,
“I will proclaim your name to my brothers;
in the midst of the congregation I will sing your praise.”
Grace and peace be with you,
Ken
