In 2nd Peter 3:9, Peter says, "God is not willing that nay should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
We know that many will perish. (Matthew 7:13)
Does this challenge God's sovereignty?

True power is having the ability to force someone to do something yet showing restraint and not using that ability.

Not at all. All Kefa is saying, is that HaShem would rather see all of us do t'shuva than be cut off from him.

We can't doubt YHWH's sovereignty. Though we might not understand His plan. YHWH is! We life, how can we ever understand. To doubt YHWH's sovereignty is in my opinion a sin. How can you believe in Yeshua if you doubt YHWH's sovereignty. You better doubt yourself!

Compare the wording with the words of Yeshua; Mt 18:14 "Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish. Some of mankind is willing that these little ones or any(person) do perish and they speed the process. IMO we over reach our expectations of God's sovereignty, this is like wanting to become God, as we think we can do better and relieve all suffering. We question his sovereignty. He knows what He is doing and it will come crystal clear at the resurrection. Shalom

Shalom, Surely the Almigthy Lord of the heavens and the earth is full of love and mercy for everybody. Proof for that is that he sent his only son Yeshua to die for the sins of the world. Although mankind does not at all deserve the grace of God we can receive it through faith in Yeshua. To anwer the question we could take the example of Adam and Hava. Did the Lord want them to sin and ultimately to loose eternal life? No. Would he force them to obey him?? No. And that´s the point brothers in Yeshua. Adonai gave everybody the chance to obey him and worship only him and believe in him and to follow all of his prophets and as the ice on the cake become a talmid of yeshua ( by doing this you are automatically following the prophets and apostles etc. ). He gave us this chance but he also gave us a free will. That is a mercy of our Creator. He´s not a puppetmaster pulling the strings. We can choose whether we believe him and his son or not. Yet nobody who´s ever heard the truth about him can claim that he wasn´t able to believe in him for Adonai gave us lot of proof not only for his existence but also that his bible is his only testament.
What we can do is to obey Yeshua and the Apostle´s and do what the righteous early congregations ( may the Lord reward them therefor ) did. We have to preach to people. We have to be a light by living our lifes according to the doctrine of Yeshua. And if we can´t answer a question they ask us it is our duty to really get someone with more knowledge on the line to answer it for them.
A very good tip for all those who really want to get engaged in spreading the good news. Youtube is a wonderful platform. I´ve had lots of discussion especially with muslims over there. Please brothers. I call out to you in the name of Yeshua. We need much more to be done in the area of mission. Peace upon all of you
