www.e-sword.netBy far the BEST Bible software I've seen. AND...it's free!!! Plus there are many add-on bibles to it. Very handy.

Yep, I use it too. I think somebody here posted a link to it a while back, but I don't quite remember.

Yes, I also use it quite often and highly reccommend it for the serious student. I believe there is another thread, but I think this one can use plenty of good press.

Personally, I use Davar. It's pretty sweet software and has kajillions of add-ons. (or should I say a bajillion, as jono would say. )

I use Davar3 software as well. It has many great aspects to it. But, really not much more than E-sword has to offer. I even have the Brit Chadashah in Hebrew on E-sword! They are now also offering The Complete Jewish Bible for download on E-sword!

I have just downloaded Davar3 after reading this thread. I used to love e-sword, and still do, but not as much as Davar for me.
The ability to have several Hebrew and Greek texts right at my fingertips, as well as the Aramaic is unbelievable. I used to have to open many books or have multiple windows open at the same time.
I think they are equally wonderful, and Baruch HaShem that the internet as evil as it can be still brings great light in that all of these resources are available to us.
Shalom,
Yitzchak

Ya, I used to have that too and then it was not working. I think my Davar program has a bug. I will have to re-download it as I am having problems. That may be one of the reasons I don't like the program as much as E-sword right now. But, I agree that Davar is an excellent resource that everyone should have. Shalom, Reuel

Reuel, what kind of problems did you have with it? When I had Davar 2.4 it worked wonderfully, but I think that Davar 3.0 was, initially, kind of buggy, because I had problems, too. lol. I spent nearly a whole afternoon working on it once, and finally decided I need to re-download, but haven't gotten back to it.

I just redownloaded davar3. The bugs that I encountered before are gone. I can actually unzip and use the add-ons now, which I couldn't before. I'm really very pleased with it. They've done a lot of work on it and it's working better. The format of Davar3 is especially appealing. It's much more user-friendly than 2.4, and the add-ons are wonderful.
