I am a very strong believer in the deity of Yeshua, as the SoF of this site expresses that doctrine. I will say I don't see that, and many other doctrines QUITE like I used to- so if you have questions or concerns about any doctrinal issues expressed here I'd encourage you to ask before dismissing them out of hand. If you don't mind my asking, are you affiliated with, or partial to any particular denomination? Dan C

I have read through the rules I am Pentecostal and attend both Baptist and Salvation army Churches. I am a solid believer in the 3 in 1 God of the Bible by which I am unmoved. I believe in The new covenant teachings but do not dismiss the Old, However I do not personally observe Old commandments. I love Jesus a great deal, however I know very little about Jewish traditions, and maybe I can learn a little here, by which I am all ears. It is likely I will be asking questions more then anything. You will hardly notice Im here.

No problem, I wasn't referring to the rules. But we (and by that I mean mostly me ) can sound pretty negative about Christianity at times. Just don't want to scare you off! Regardless of their shortcomings, Christianity has taken the Gospel to the world! That is an undeniable fact. Me, I was raised Southern Baptist, and now attend an AoG church on Sundays. I'm also involved in ministries there. They know I'm Messianic, but since I strictly never betray a trust there and try to push my beliefs on them, they appreciate the help. I have made it clear that if anyone comes to me and asks, I'll give them the truth. Further, I won't lie in the ministries. Whenever doctrinal conflicts arise I either bow out of the conversation or refer them to someone else if one-on-one. So far I am more uncomfortable about the arrangement than they are- they're just glad for the help, whereas I always feel I'm walking on eggshells. Here tho, ain't no chickens, hence no eggs! In other words, we (I) tend to be more brutally honest here. Nothing wrong with a solid Trinitarian, either. If you look very far on the net, you'll find several groups flying Messianic colors who are Unitarian. There are even several of them where I live. Some I am on amicable terms with, simply agreeing we can't fellowship due to that one extremely important point of doctrine. Others, not so much, since you'll almost always find they have more issues than that one at variance with scripture. (By the way, the tribe of Dan went to Ethopia, and there ain't no one whiter than this guy!) There is one HUGE Danish guy here I used to argue with, even torment, since he believes he's of the tribe of Dan because he's Danish. He also believes Yeshua (which you must pronounce exactly as he does or you're not saved) was created when God created light. But he's getting a bit senile (he's about my age- it happe ... what was I saying?) so I leave him alone now. But they are out there. Whenever God starts a work, ha satan gets busy working against it. As far as your not observing the commandments of , that's a personal choice. Last weeks class the rabbi spoke about that. Part of our doctrine is not only do we not try to force anyone to comply with any point of "Law", but if anyone does try to force another to "comply" we are to come against that person very strenuously. We do require the basics for fellowship; Acts 15:20 "But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood." But this isn't forced, just scripturally necessary if a person wishes to fellowship with us. Any way, welcome aboard! Dan C

When a Messianic Jew or Gentile says they don't believe in the Trinity...they mean that they do not believe in Father, Son and Holy Spirit as three separate G-ds.
Messianics tend to express their belief in YHVH as echad...One, but it is a word that means a compound unity, just as Elohim is a plural within the Godhead. They are not Unitarian...they recognize G-d has three specific parts that seem to act independently of each other, and yet are one...Father/Creator; Son/Word and Right Hand; Holy Spirit/Breath of G-d.
They see the three separated Persons/Manifestations within the Godhead, but see that all Three are all together in oneness...which to me sounds an awful lot like what many MainC Christians believe about G-d. Messianics Jews and Gentiles are concerned about attempting to divide up He who is All in All into separate pieces, and worshiped as separate gods, as was done in the Catholic and Orthodox Churches, and passed on to the Protestant Denominations...which is Idolatry.
To Jews, Messianic or Orthodox...placing an image of Yehoshua on the Cross in a church to worship is Idolatry, and the majority of exposure that Jews of all varieties have had has been within the persecutions of the Catholic and Orthodox Churches. Consequently, the idea of a Trinity is idolatrous.
My personal view of Abba, Yehoshua and the Ruach haKodesh is simply a matter of function, Yehoshua and the Ruach being a part of Abba, however separated they may seem to be to us humans.
