I'm more or less a life long evangelical Christian (lukewarm mostly). God met me on my couch, during my early morning devotion, a few months ago and introduced me to the bible the way He meant it. I started reading scripture from a different perspective and have been trying to unlearn and learn so much all at the same time. I was lead to Messianic Judaism as a Gentile and have grown more amazed and excited with every new reading. I now question everything I hear and wrestle with it trying to understand it from the correct context.

Shalom; welcome to the forum and to Messianism!
This is a good place to start for solid, scripturally based answers to your questions. I found it after many, many months of sorting through the open net (kind of akin to an open sewer at times). There is a lot of good information archived here, and a few active posters who are pretty knowledgeable. Glad to see you here also!

Your experience sounds similar to mine. I was startled into looking more closely at the Bible, which I thought I knew well. I was shocked to find I didn't know it as well as I thought I did. I had to stop believing what I was told was true and asking what does the Bible actually say. Then I decided to study ALL of what it said. Shocking experience.
