Many may not know that that George Lucas’s Indiana Jones movies are based upon a real man, however there is a real Indiana Jones whose name is really Vendyl Jones claiming that he knows the location of the Ark of the Covenant. Although he claims that he did not know the locations during the first Indiana Jones movie, Jones states that careful study of certain portions of the Dead Sea Scrolls and the  have revealed its locations. Jones claims that he has known the location of the Ark for a few years now but has been warned by an unnamed Jewish Mystic not to reveal the location until now. Jones has received the ok and is said to reveal the location some time in August. Jones ideas on the location of the ark are just one of many theories. For many years Ron Wyatt has claimed that he found the Ark in 1981 and that the location of the Ark of the Covenant is underneath Golgotha and Christ's Blood had actually fallen onto the Mercy Seat. Since Wyatt’s passing we do not hear much about this theory. Both of these are just a few the ideas as to the location of the Ark of the Covenant. This is supposivally to be revealed around TISHAH B'AV Thu AUG 3. Jones also claims that the disengament will not happen. We will see. He does not claim to be a prophet as far as I know. He says that these predictions are based upon clues hidden in the . This is not the first claim of this type. |

The Talmud says that the Ark is hidden in a secret passage under the Temple mount prior to the destruction of the first Temple. Jones says that the tunnel actually continues 18 miles southward into the Judean Desert, through which the Ark was brought to it's current resting place. He has used ground penetrating radar extensively in his various digs for mapping and locating. Jones has been in close contact and under tutelage of numerous Rabbis over the years who are extremely knowledgeable in and source materials dealing with Holy Temple issues. Jones has now received permission to finally uncover the lost Ark. He discovered a copper scroll that listed Holy items of the first temple, which in turn led him to discover the Holy anointing oil from the first Temple period. He then later found some 600 pounds of [after lab analysis determined to be ingredients listed in for the Holy Temple incense] enough incense for a whole year of Temple service. Hmmm....Seems like things are falling into place for rebuilding the Temple and restoring Service. And that in turn would mean Yeshua's return is drawing ever nearer. Praise YHVH if we all see that come to pass in our generation!! "even so Lord Yeshua come"! I have been following Jones excavations and research for some time, the more he discovers the more the skeptics seem to be discredited. His results are testimony to his claims and seem to be consistant also with Scripture. As his discoveries mount, his claims gain credibility. I was reminded of a passage in the psalms when reading one of his articles on the dig at the cave of the column; Psa 105:6-11 O seed of Aḇraham His servant, Children of Yaʽaqoḇ, His chosen ones! He is יהוה our Elohim; His right-rulings are in all the earth. He has remembered His covenant forever, The Word He commanded, for a thousand generations, The covenant He made with Aḇraham, And His oath to Yitsḥaq, And established it to Yaʽaqoḇ for a law, To Yisra’ĕl – an everlasting covenant, Saying, “To you I give the land of Kenaʽan, The portion of your inheritance.” Jones believes the copper scroll,( www.vendyljones.org.il/copperscroll.htm ), was written by Jeremiah. Along with the discoveries he has made to date from the scroll, he believes he is near to uncovering the Complete Tabernacle and the Mosaic treasures hidden by Jerimiah. He states that all he needs to do in his excavation of the "cave of the column" is to lower a small camera to see the Tabernacle. It is interesting to read From 2 Maccabees 2:1-9 the following; "It is also found in the records, that Yirmeyahu the prophet commanded them that were carried away to take of the fire, as it hath been signified: And how that the prophet, having given them the law, charged them not to forget the commandments of the L-rd, and that they should not err in their minds, when they see images of silver and gold, with their ornaments. And with other such speeches exhorted he them, that the law should not depart from their hearts. It was also contained in the same writing, that the prophet, being warned of G-d, commanded the tabernacle and the ark to go with him, as he went forth into the mountain,[Nebo?], where Moshe climbed up, and saw the heritage of G-d. And when Yirmeyahu came thither, he found an hollow cave,[cave of the column?], wherein he laid the tabernacle, and the ark, and the altar of incense, and so stopped the door. And some of those that followed him came to mark the way, but they could not find it. Which when Yirmeyahu perceived, he blamed them, saying, As for that place, it shall be unknown until the time that G-d gather his people again together, and receive them unto mercy. Then shall the L-rd shew them these things, and the glory of the L-rd shall appear, and the cloud also, as it was shewed under Moshe, and as when Shlomo desired that the place might be honourably sanctified. It was also declared, that he being wise offered the sacrifice of dedication, and of the finishing of the temple". I also found the following verses interesting in regards to this subject; Amo 9:11-15 “In that day I shall raise up the booth of Dawiḏ which has fallen down. And I shall repair its breaches and raise up its ruins. And I shall build it as in the days of old, so that they possess the remnant of Eḏom, and all the gentiles on whom My Name is called,” declares יהוה who does this. “Look, the days are coming,” declares יהוה, “that the ploughman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him who sows seed. And the mountains shall drip new wine, and all the hills melt. “And I shall turn back the captivity of My people Yisra’ĕl. And they shall build the waste cities and inhabit them. And they shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them, and shall make gardens and eat their fruit. “And I shall plant them on their own soil, and not uproot them any more from their own soil I have given them,” said יהוה your Elohim! Act 15:15-17 “And the words of the prophets agree with this, as it has been written: ‘After this I shall return and rebuild the Booth of Dawiḏ which has fallen down. And I shall rebuild its ruins, and I shall set it up, so that the remnant of mankind shall seek יהוה, even all the gentiles on whom My Name has been called, says יהוה who is doing all this,’ HaShem's Word is throughout full of prophecy, some 2500, ALL fulfilled EXACTLY as written except for about 500 left for the final days. YHVH himself tells us; Isa 46:10-13 I declare the end from the beginning, and from long ago what is not yet done, saying: My plan will take place, and I will do all My will. I call a bird of prey from the east, a man for My purpose from a far country. Yes, I have spoken; so I will also bring it about. I have planned it; I will also do it. Listen to me, you hardhearted, far removed from justice: I am bringing My justice near; it is not far away, and My salvation will not delay. I will put salvation in Zion, My splendor in Israel. Yeah, I've actually heard the copper scroll referred to as a sort of "treasure map." That definitely seems to be the case. I am eagerly awaiting the day for the Ark to be revealed...
May Yeshua come soon and restore his people to Tzion.

There's an update on his website now, that says he had been misquoted and will hopefully be able to dig for the tunnel to the ark in September...........hmmmm...........as much as the hopeless romantic in me wants this to be for real...I'm very sceptical.

Well, regardless of when it is revealed, we do know that it will eventually be revealed.
Remember all that is necessary for the prophecy to be fulfilled regarding sacrifices, is that an altar be built and one sacrifice be made.

To Indiana Jones, You can stop looking for the "Ark of the Covenant", I think I know where it is! Your looking in the wrong direction! It's upward not downward! Revelation 11:19 19 Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple.And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail

Curt: I'm sure. The heavenly is not a copy, it is the original. It is the pattern used by the earthly. Exodus 25:9 9 Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you. Exodus 25 8 "Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them. 9 Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you. Hebrews 8: 5 They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle: "See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain." Hebrews 9: 23 It was necessary, then, for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these sacrifices, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these Which is more valuable the original or the copy?
