Reuel,
We are curious what you think about this website...Antipasministries.com. It is most definately not Messianic, but they have some interesting things to say about current events and the end times. We really aren't to sure about alot of things they say, but they do have some good points. If you look up this website first go to Article Arcives, then go down the page(there are alot of articles) to Political Church. Under that heading go 16 articles down to George Bush, the Promise Keepers... This was the first article we read and though the person who wrote is very blunt in what he says it does have some interesting points. Please let us know what you think. The articles are pretty long but try to read the whole thing to get the jist. Thank you!

Hmmm. I recommend exercising great caution when reading websites such as this. Of course there is much truth found therein, but much of it is misguided. Essentially the article that you are referencing is more of a book (in regards to length). One of the valid scriptures that this volume point's out (and I would say is the crux of the matter) is the following... "But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and ... ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them." (Mark 13:9)If we understand this, trust in our Heavenly Father, pray, and do His will as contained in His ...we have nothing to worry about. In fact, if we do this we should be rejoicing... "Blessed are you, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven, for their fathers did the same thing to the prophets." - Luke 6:22-23 If the individual that wrote this article is truly serving The Lord...he should be getting ready for a party! I also noticed that the writer attacks the Biblical authority structure as ordained by G'd. He quotes the following scripture out of context... Many people that have a history of rejecting authority in their lives (including G-d's authority) take stances similar to this. In Matt. 20:25-28 Yeshua The Messiah is describing the attitude that a leader should have. He is not abolishing leadership structure in the congregation as He would be in opposition to the instructions in His Father's , and the very writings of the Brit HaDashah (New Test.) as found in 1Timothy chapter 3. What Yeshua is communicating is the thought found in Devarim (Deut.) 17:18-20... "And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites: And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear YHVH his G'd, to keep all the words of this and these statutes, to do them: That his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he turn not aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left: to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he, and his children, in the midst of Israel." We are servants of the Kingdom of Heaven, and this is what Yeshua is reminding us of. Notice in Matt. 20:25-28 that Yeshua compares the Pagan Gentile leadership to what He describes as undesirable. He does not describe the based leadership in this passage. There are many, many more passages to refute this man's writings in this area. There is so much in this article that I will not be able to comment on everything. Is there anything in particular that you would like to address? Shalom, Reuel

Reuel,
I totally agree with you about authority. They are definately wrong there. Sometimes I do think that they are speaking about currupt authority, though. I was curious what you thought about what they said about President Bush, the promise keepers and so forth.
Also in other article they talk about America being Babylon and so on. I'm sure you don't have time to read all of it at the moment, but maybe sometime you could let us know what you think.
THank you for your thoughts about all this. It is much appreciated.
