Greetings in Yeshua, everyone!
I have been doing Messianic studies for a while and have been "lurking" on this discussion forum. This is a great place to study and learn, and I'm thankful that Reuel has graciously granted me access to this forum!
I am a Gentile who has been born again and attended an Evangelical Christian church for 7 years. However, in recent months, YHWH has been nudging me in different ways to make a change in worship and in my walk with Him. The first place He started was in learning the Hebrew language. Although I don't really know the language as far as reading, writing and having a conversation, I've been studying Biblical names and other words on my own as well as doing the daily readings in the Complete Jewish Bible. I do very well with that and know how to say the words/names like a native! But I would like to go further and really study and learn the language. As soon as I get the chance, that will be my next move.
Basically, I've been a Gentile and raised as such...but in reality I have a Jewish heart! What I mean is, I've always loved everything Jewish....the Jewish culture, language, music, food (some of it, anyway!), the nation, the history, prophecy, etc. Most importantly, the PEOPLE of Abraham! My favorite movie is "Fiddler on the Roof". It always has been since the 1960's.....
Beyond that, although the Christian church has some good things to offer (and I've grown in my walk with the Lord in it), I really desire at this point to go BACK to FIRST CENTURY FAITH and experience the faith of Yeshua and His talmidim as well as the Shliachim after them. It's really important to go back to a pure faith as expressed through the
in the righteous men of the faith in the way we live our lives. I feel very strongly that Elohim is nudging me to be joined to the Messianic faith to adopt the as something to be desired.
