I'll think a little more about the goat sent to Azazel. I have a request from you. Can you watch this guy's video? He never tells about the goat sent to Azazel. I think he's keeping the goat sample sent to Azazel confidential.
I don't know that he was intentionally hiding the Azazel goat. It just wasn't germain to his point, which was that Christians are terribly misinformed about the sacrificial system. And he is right. Before I started reading Torah on my own, I like most Christians thought if you sinned, kill a sacrifice and you were forgiven in the Old Testament. It's what we were taught.
I do not think most people however connect the Azazel goat to our individual sins. However I do maintain that our individual sins are accrued to the national sins, and so there is a connection. He did touch on the sacrifice for tumah (ritual impurity) imparted to the Temple by individuals, for which another sacrifice was required. So while he didn't explicitly make the connection (possibly because it would have detracted from his point) blood was required for the accumulation of individual sins. He did bring up an interesting point: when there is no Temple provision was made that if we confess our sins and transgressions and repent and ask His forgiveness, God is faithful to forgive. So no Temple, no animal sacrifice possible or required. However the blood of Yeshua is what covers all sins from Adam on, if we repent and ask. That is the sacrifice, the blood that is required.
