OK, we are in Devarim, the last book in our parashot cycle. 9-10 Oct will mark Simchat Torah, and the end of the current cycle and beginning of the next. So I need to make some decisions right now; and I need your input.
The task of categorizing and sorting all these "commandments" (instructions) is going to be just short of monumental. So if enough people are interested I can instead of doing the parashot next cycle start sorting these out. This may mean gaps in weekly posting, especially at the first. But in the end we will have a history of every time a commandment is mentioned, any changes (progressive revelation), and the final form (usually from Devarim/Words/Deuteronomy). If I do this, I would like some to commit to discussion and checking my work. I've caught myself making mistakes, so I know you can. No one )especially me) is perfect. Also you may have a different take from mine of what all a particular instruction means.
I want to go to a 3 year Torah cycle next time I do it, and to be on board with the rest of Judaism that would mean on Shemeni Atzaret/SimchatTorah 2021. So going through the commandments/instructions for a year will put us on track. Hopefully Ben Avraham will still be doing the regular parashot and we wouldn't miss out on that. Failing that, I am sure we could find a suitable site to go to for our weekly reading, then we can discuss that as well.
The schedule I'd like to use is:

The other option would be that I can work on categorizing the mitzvoth whenever I get the time, then post it. And I could do the parashot as always.
So let me know what you think. I need to make a decision soon. This includes you lurkers- it effects you as well. This is your chance for input.
One final note: some have wondered why I do these parashot for so few people here. Well, hopefully it will be here for future Meshiachim. But also I get a lot out of them. I do the work, I get the benefit. And at times HaShem blesses me with insights that can only be from Him. I am willing to share with however many wish to read them, however you too will only get as much benefit as you are willing to work for. You can read a parashah and learn what I did, or you can study it and share your own insights and we can all learn and grow. You can disagree with what I write (as anyone can with anyone else), and we can discuss our differences and both learn and grow. But with little effort comes little learning. So it is up to you.
I learned long ago the difference in God's economy and mine. Sure, I'd like at least a dozen active members here. But God says 1 is enough, as long as it is the right one- the one He knows. And He may just want me to be edified by the effort. I leave all that to Him. I just am trying to be obedient.
Baruch HaSHem.
