In this cycle we are looking at verses which contain actual commandments, as opposed to just following the 613 mitzvoth of Rabbinical Judaism. On week 18 the list is getting too long to just tack onto the parashah. So I am going to put it here and just update it each week. The parashot this will refer to are those of year 3 where I have been doing the full cycle; prefaced by a number with a .3 decimal. For instance, I am putting the list here starting with 18.3 Par'shah Mishpotim. All questions and comments should be addressed on the parashah reading so that this thread doesn't get too confusing or unwieldy. If it pertains only to this thread, it is permissible to post here. However my guess is most questions or comments placed here will have to be moved. I am first going to post a list of all the 613 mitzvoth for a reference, something we can compare our list to. However since we are dealing only with those applicable to us as 21st cen Meshiachim this may be a bit unwieldy anyhow. So here goes: I found this very helpful...not that looking at the 613 is not helpful, once one tosses out what cannot be done now for whatever reason, or doesn't fit the person involved, (I am neither a Levite nor a King, for instance, nor is there a Temple standing) but that I can hand this list over to the Christian based Messianics in my Synagogue, so that they can figure things out. They have no desire for Orthodoxy, but they want to be obedient. The problem is that my Synagogue is not yet in their own building, and has no place to teach as a class to adults before the regular services begin, much less the children, which are still stuck in Christianity plus Shabbat and the Moedim, minus the pagan festivals to the degree that they are not yielding to their families here in Virginia, and the surrounding states.
Many people come from a long distance to attend, and each household is left to their own devices...trying to figure out what to do on their own, much as I had to do. Not a fun task, when there are things like these that can give a little help here and there without telling people what to do, but simply tell them what the scriptures say, and then let the Ruach convict them.

Not a fun task, when there are things like these that can give a little help here and there without telling people what to do, but simply tell them what the scriptures say, and then let the Ruach convict them. One of the reasons this forum exists is as a repository of knowledge for those who have no synagogue, or in the case of many not even any other Messianic believers nearby. So you and any of your congregation are welcome o come and research what others have discovered who are in similar circumstances. Not as a replacement; I encourage everyone who is able to meet regularly as possible with other believers. But as an aid in helping to practice our faith.
As to listing the commandments each week, the list is getting quite long. It is a bit unwieldily to put it up each week. I am thinking about continuing this project into next year where we can lok at the list topic by topic and see everything written in Torah, the actual commandments. I may also compare them to what the Talmud says about them. Not sure, because we are not bound by the tenets of Rabbinical Judaism, and that may be a daunting task as I am no Talmudic scholar. That said, there are many cases where Torah does not completely advise us on exactly what is required. For instance, we are told to ritually immerse ourselves (tevilah), and what is required of the ritual pool (mikvah), but not actually how that immersion is to be done. o I may do a search and see if the Talmud, especially the Mishnah has any instructions which might help.
I believe there always has been an Oral Torah. How else did men know what was right before a Holy God before Moshe? How else would ha'satan know what to copy in various pagan religions before Judaism? How else would a just God punish the lawless before Moshe if there was no law? Also as Torah is immutable, the instructions of HaShem to a holy people, the Oral Torah was meant to be flexible, the way all men keep Torah in changing times, places and circumstances. I see a problem in that since the Roman diaspora Talmud codifies the Oral Torah. Now it too is set in stone, to many equal to the Written Torah. But this doesn't mean there are not insights to be gleaned there.
So we'll see. For now, if your congregation wants the actual verses commanding different things, you can look under the specific parashot. And any questions, or if I missed something, or if you think I interpreted it wrong I know I don't have to tell you, but I will anyhow: please let me know and we can discuss it.

(I am neither a Levite nor a King, for instance, nor is there a Temple standing) Revelation 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Revelation 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. 1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 1 Corinthians 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Dan,
Thank you for compiling all this scriptural information. That's a LOT of work. And I've got some reading to do.
G-d bless you - garrett
