I am DONE with mainstream ministries!
Just handed the last one off a couple of hours ago, and it does feel GOOD! The ministry is a good one, providing support for those with chronic illness or conditions. But I need to be freed up to study and put my efforts into Messianic outreach, not mainC programs. So this is a step in the right direction, I think.
just, thought I'd share that ...

Edit: well, I did tell them I'd help get their feet off the ground. But I'm not in a leadership position and not committed long term, so ...

Besides, you just picked up a ministry here...and it is Messianic outreach!
If they do not survive your without your support maybe they need follow in your footsteps.

It was the right move. I talked to 2 Rabbis and one Assembly preachr who I trust and all gave me the same advice- it was time to pass the torch. And at the last meeting we had the topic came up about a thing I hadn't done in a while, but that has NEVER failed me (because God never fails me); I'd open a Bible randomly and seek my answer on the pages I'd turned to.
First try I grabed a Bible History book by mistake, but OK; I just turned to the corresponding page in my Bible and read about Melech Dovids' capture of Tzion. Huh? I could interpret that a couple of ways: a.) be faithful and stay with the ministry and my efforts would be blessed, or b.) be faithful and hold to my convictions and my efforts would be blessed.
Then I decided to study something else entirely, and reached for my hardcover study Bible. What I grabbed was my soft cover study Bible, and I swear I did not notice the mistake! It opened and my finger literally landed on Romans 16:17 (NAS), "Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them." Well, it don't take a fire alarm to open my eyes! I think I can safely take this as confirmation, and I know which way to interpret the earlier scriptural reference.
