Psa 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
I am going to pass this on and ask everyone to pray. It was a mass mailing, so there is no problem with the author. In fact, I'm sure he'd appreciate this being passed on to as many as possible.
From the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews:
As I write this, my heart is heavy. Three teenage Israeli boys – 16-year-old Gilad Shaar, 16-year-old Naftali Frenkel, and 19-year-old Eyal Yifrach – were kidnapped by terrorists while headed home for Shabbat (the Sabbath), and have been missing for several days. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has launched a nationwide manhunt to find them, and to bring the perpetrators of this terrible crime to justice.
I have full confidence that the IDF is up to this task. But, as they do their jobs, it is easy for the rest of us to feel helpless in this time of crisis. I want to assure you that there is something you can do – you can pray. Please pray that God will deliver these boys from their captors, and that they will come home to their loved ones safe and sound. Pray for the safety of all Israelis who live daily with the threat of terror and kidnapping. And pray for the brave men and women of the IDF, who put their lives on the line every day protecting the nation and people they love.
Thank you, my friends. Israel is united in this time of crisis – and I cannot tell you what a comfort it is for all of Israel to know that Christians around the world have also united with them to pray for these young men and their loved ones. You can follow news related to this event on our Facebook page. May you be blessed, even as you have blessed God’s children.
With prayers for the safe return of Gilad, Naftali, and Eyal, and for the peace of Jerusalem,
Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein Founder and President
