antinomianism means there is no law, but if there is no law there is no sin according to Paul. And therefore there would be no need for a saviour. Okay. In that case Antinomianism and Anarchy are interchangable. There must be another term for "faith alone is all that is required for salvation."

Paul says that we are saved by faith, but James corrects the opposite error by saying faith without works is dead. True faith is not based on our works, but will lead to good works because it transforms the inner person and leads to obedience. Paul was against legalism but not obedience, as an example he affirms the commandment to honour our parents in Eph. 6:1-2. To claim to have faith but disobey God's commandments is a delusion which John speaks against in 1 John 2:3-4 and 1 John 3:4:10. John makes it clear that none is without sin in 1 John 1:8-9, but if we live in sin, deliberately breaking God's commandments then the truth is not abiding in us. The truth is more than an intellectual exercise, it is a living word which abides in us and changes us by God's love.

Amen.
Faith, like a mustard seed, grows in obediance.
