Messiah must follow a very specific family lineage traced from Adam, through Shem (Genesis 9:26), descendant of Abraham (Genesis 12:3), Isaac (Genesis 17:19), Jacob (Genesis 28:14), Judah (1st Chronicles 5:2), Boaz (Ruth 4:12-17), Jesse (Isaiah 11:1-10), David( 2nd Samuel 7:12-16), and Zerubbabel (Haggai 2:23).
