Hello everyone! I'm LadyM.......I am a Christian who has been "drawn" to the Messianic faith for awhile now. I have been attending a Messianic Synagogue for almost 2 months now, and love it. My friends, (who are Christians) do not understand at all, and they ask me questions, such as "You do still believe in the Trinity, right?"....or "So, are you converting to Judaism, and not believing in Jesus anymore?" and silly questions like that. They feel that I have fallen from grace, because I fasted for Yom Kippur and went to the services. They feel that if I keep the Feasts, I am "under the Law" I have been drawn to things like....If Yeshua was a Jew, then why don't we practice the Jewish traditions? Why don't we celebrate the Feasts, or keep the correct Sabbath? Why don't we worship the way Yeshua did-reading from the on Shabbat, fasting, keeping the Feasts, etc? Why don't we learn Hebrew/Greek/Aramic languages? Anyway, I am very interested in Messianic faith, and feel that since it was the "faith" of Yeshua and His disciples, then it is certainly something I want to learn more about.

Hi LadyM,
I'm glad that you found us! I want you to know that your introduction is personally an encouragement to me. Periodically, I'm inclined to want to knock on someone's door, grab them by the throat and patiently articulate why they need to embrace the Jewish perspective of a faith in Messiah. You remind me that it is Adonai who leads men (and women) to Himself, not me and Hernandez Cortez.
I hope that the discussions in this forum will help you defend what you are learning about the Messianic perspective of faith and encourage you to deepen your relationship with Messiah Yeshua through your daily walk with Him.
Thanks for sharing,
Mark

Thank you, Mark-for your warm welcome! Yeah-my "Christian" friends think I am crazy for going to a Messianic Synagogue, but I just feel that it could not be a better religion....I mean, it is the religion of Jesus, and of course, His disciples. I hate that religions have become so "separated". I mean, it's like-there is ONE God (3 entities), yet if a couple of people disagree about the meaning of a Bible verse, it's like..."Hey! Let's go start our OWN denomination!" It should not be like that at all. Jesus is the Messiah, He was Jewish, so how could a person go wrong by being a Messianic Jew? I'm not like totally converted-I still go to a Christian church on Sundays as well, but it makes no sense to have SO MANY different Christian denominations.....! This makes a lot more sense, and much less confusing...well, once you learn the Hebrew, and figure out all the Feasts, and other traditions! lol
