Hi, My name is Rebecca, and I'm a Christian, here to learn more about Messianic Judaism. Anyway, I'm just very interested in learning more. I feel that modern Christianity seems to have a rather shallow understanding of who they are and where they came from...which leads to not knowing where they're going. So far I'm just enjoying reading the posts. A little about myself, I live in Tacoma Wa, and I'm a massage therapist. I have a clinic where I specialize in injury treatment for things like whiplash, disc herniation etc. I'm single and have no children. I was raised in the church, as a 'non-denominational' Christian.
PS-If you see me posting replys, I hope that you aren't offended if I spell out God and Jesus. I agree with the one posting that I read that there is not enough awe and reverance these days when we talk about the Lord, so I understand and respect the reasoning. But I was also raised with the teaching that it is our privilege to speak to the Lord on an intimate level, that He has invited us to be His friends. So switching to not spelling it out is just strange and unfamiliar to me, like suddenly being formal and polite with a close friend.

I don't think anyone will be offended. I spell it out too. I'm also a non-Jew who grew up as a non-denominational Christian. I got interested in Messianic Judaism when I couldn't understand how people drew the dividing line between "relevant" Old Testament commandments and "irrelevant" ones. Welcome

The NW Messianic Congregation that I am most enthusiastic about is in Tacoma, WA. It is Beth Hillel, led by Tim Hegg. The best way to contact him is through his Yeshiva site, www.torahresource.com
