Hmmm...I am somewhat surprised no one said they had a problem with using the name Jesus. In observance of the I'm going to avoid spelling out all other names of false gods in this post. I don't utter the name Jesus anymore for three reasons: 1. It's not His name, just as others stated. Why would I use a name for Him that is a total mis-transliteration/pronunciation? 2. I smell a rat. Okay actually a serpent/dragon that is behind the name. 3. Islam expects Jesus, Isa, (unknowing to them the first beast of Revelation) and the Mahdi (the false prophet of Revelation) to appear. That's exactly what's going to happen. Why would the beast call himself anything else? The world has been prepped for accepting Jesus (not Yeshua) as Mashiach. His religion is "Sun-day" based, the Roman day of the sun, not Shabbat based; observing the resurrection but not Pesach as instructed by YHVH and calling it the name of a pagan goddess, with symbols of fertility rites -rabbits and eggs - and eating unclean pig to celebrate it; adopting transubstantiation from Mith--ism; absorbing the phrase, "Mother of God" from I-is worship; using the Chi Rho symbol associated with both Mith--s and Ori--s; celebrating the birth of the Mashiach on the birthdate of the unconquerable sun, S-l Invic--s; holding Constantine's effects on theology as legitimate even though his arch that still stands in Rome is totally pagan and includes three reliefs of S-l Invic--s; Biblical holy days and feasts are not observed, pagan ones are; the Biblical calendar system is not used, pagan ones are. For a long, long time I believed Revelation 18:4 referred to Rome, specifically Catholicism. Now I broaden that to Christianity because it's consistent; consistently pagan.

For a long, long time I believed Revelation 18:4 referred to Rome, specifically Catholicism. Now I broaden that to Christianity because it's consistent; consistently pagan. While most here would agree with you it is not His name, the name "Jesus" is acceptable on this forum because people come here at all stages of Messianism. Some are just beginning to look at Messianic Judaism. They know and are more comfortable with the name "Jesus." I try to talk to people as Rav Sh'ul did: I meet them where they are at. o you'll see me use Jesus with them, and for deeper, more serious posts I use the name "Yeshua." But He is worshiped by both names, so all we ask on the forum is whatever name you use, it should be done with utmost respect. I have no idea what the beast will call himself. Probably many names which reflect his (so called) "power and majesty." He will by all accounts be an extreme ego-maniac! So I expect him to act like one. But who knows- evil can and does manifest itself as gentle, caring, helping, nice. We also agree about the feasts, and the church. Most who come here either came out of the church or are in the process of leaving it. So again, we meet people where they are at and help them through the process. Not to say we didn't all go through a stage where we were extremely angry with the church for their deceptions. But that anger doesn't help us help others to come out. Usually it drives them back deeper into the deception. You may see some of my earlier posts that go after the church with fangs barred. But I try to self-moderate that now. And frankly, I was part of that deception myself for many years. I taught Sunday School classes and helped put on tent revivals ... . So I can't point fingers, really. But I can try to tell others the truth now that I have it. Not that I'm all knowing. My rabbi grew up in Jerusalem, literally at the feet of many of the founders of the modern Messianic movement. He knows them well, and says they'll all tell you they are still learning, discovering new truths. Guess that means I have a LOT more to learn. You make a good point about spelling out the names of pagan gods. There is power in speech, and saying their names does give them power. However here we all come to learn, so we generally write out their name. Exposing them and learning about them robs power from them, as when confronted with them we need to know how to defend against them. I spell the name of Allah all the time, but usually I'll say "The demon Allah." I want everyone to know he is a petty demon and not just another name for Almighty God. Now if someone were worshiping other gods, we'd have a problem! Dan C

He's called differently in different languages. That's just the nature of names. I'm glad I know his Hebrew name and I use that personally, but I was saved in the name of Jesus. I don't think we need to get too hung up on it because, as with any thing regarding G-d and calling up on Him, it's more about knowing His character. Those who belong to Him will recognize Him regardless because of biblical descriptions and prophecy. Islam doesnt have anything to do with that. We'll recognize the anti-Messiah and the Messiah because of our own regard for G-d; studying scripture, preparing as we're told, and depending on the Spirit that keeps us.
I used to think the anti-christ would come from Islam but after further learning, I no longer do. The anti-messiah will seem to love and bless Israel initially. That's how a Temple is built and how the abomination of desplstions occurs. That doesn't fit what we know about Islam who hates Israel. Also, apparently their dome on the Temple Mount will have to be destroyed for him to do that so it doesn't seem he's their friend at any point.
