Passover work restrictions: work is permitted ONLY to prepare sustaining food for Jews (which we are in Yeshua).
Shemot 12:16 (OJB) And in the yom harishon there shall be a mikra kodesh, and in the yom hashevi’i there shall be a mikra kodesh to you; no manner of melachah shall be done in them, except that which every nefesh must eat [i.e., activity necessary for the preparation of food], that only may be done of you.
Exodus 12:16 (CJB) On the first day you shall hold a holy assembly, and on the seventh day a holy assembly. No work shall be done on those days. But what everyone needs to eat, that alone may be prepared by you.

But what everyone needs to eat, that alone may be prepared by you. The "only for Jews" part probably comes because at the Passover meal all males must be circumcised to attend. However since I don't see any such requirement scripturally for Rosh Hashanah, I'd modify this to say something like "for family and close friends."
If anyone can find scripture to the contrary, I'll gladly revise my revision and add to my "I Was Wrong" thread ...
